Trailer loading: Boats will be loaded prior to the competition on Wednesday and Thursday @ Cardiff Pond. Each participant is responsible to pack his/her boat, canoe paddle, kayak paddle, keen pad, and other equipment designated by Zak and your respective coach.

Private boats: to all athletes loading their private boats on GERCKC Trailer please be aware that the club assumes no liability for any hazard or occurrence, including but not limited to property damage, theft, incidental and consequential damages, etc. Please make sure you buy your own insurance to cover your boat if you decide to pack your boat in the trailer.

New & Returning Parents/Athletes

For new parents who are going for the first time to the competition, please make sure you bring your own folding chairs and cooler to store your food, drinks for your kids. Around our hotel, there are lots of stores to buy food at. We are staying at the venue for the whole day during the races so please make sure you bring enough drinks, fluids and maintaining good hydration in competition is extremely important.

Don’t forget your water bottles. Sports drinks may be useful as they not only provide fluid but also have the additional benefit of carbohydrates for improved fuel or mental drive. A good way to check hydration levels is to monitor urine color and aim for a pale “straw” color most of the day.

Team Dinner

We will go for a Team Dinner on Saturday night; the invitation is extended for the Parents as well. The address of the restaurant will be communicated on Saturday afternoon when the group reservation is made.
