WHO WE ARE

Greater Edmonton Racing Canoe Kayak Club is a not-for-profit group of people who enjoy paddling canoe and kayak competitively and for recreation. Our competitive programs participate in the sport of sprint canoe kayak. As a member of the Alberta Sprint Racing Canoe Association  (PSO) and Canoe Kayak Canada (NSO), our club offers a variety of ways to get involved in the sport. Over the last 20 years, we have been supporting motivated athletes to reach their goals, and have a number of national and international champions who call our club home.

Our Mission

Promote and teach safe and effective paddling skills; Give all youth and adults an opportunity to learn, enjoy and practice the sport of sprint canoe/kayak; Assist athletes to reach provincial, national and international team status in sprint canoe/kayak racing; Provide an activity that will develop qualities and behaviours befitting a sportsperson, leadership and physical well-being in all athletes.

We believe that sport through competition assists in teaching valuable life skills. Sport provides the youth of our community with great experiences and memories. Dreams can be realized through effort and desire.
